Why Should I Invest in Custom-Tailored Suits?

Custom suits are an investment in your wardrobe and personal style. They are perfectly tailored to your body, so they are more flattering. They can be perfectly designed to complement your lifestyle and taste. Because they are constructed using classic techniques and luxury materials, they can last for decades while maintaining their shape, color, and quality. You have your choice of a wide range of fits, styles, designs, fabrics, and patterns so you can create a suit that is timeless or trendy.

How Often Should I Dry-Clean My Custom Suit?

The answer to this depends on the material used to make your suit. In general, you should dry clean custom suits every three to four wears, or if the suit is visibly soiled, stained, or wrinkled or has a strong odor.

How Do I Care for My Custom Dress Shirts?

Custom dress shirts are made from a higher quality and more durable material than shirts bought ‘off the rack.’ They should be washed on a delicate cycle in cold water with a mild detergent. You should not use bleach or dry them on high heat. Hang them dry if possible, or dry them on low heat. Store them on padded hangers in a cool, dark place and protect them from dust, sunlight, and insects.

What Is the Difference Between Bespoke, Made-to-Measure, & Custom-Made Clothing?

Bespoke and custom-made clothing is made entirely from scratch. This type of clothing is one-of-a-kind and requires multiple fitting appointments as well as conversations about your style and taste. Bespoke and custom clothing involves hand sewing and creating and constructing garments perfectly tailored to your measurements and specifications. Made-to-measure clothing is based on standardized patterns and modified to fit your measurements. It is typically less expensive and requires fewer fittings. It may be constructed using machine sewing.

What Is the Difference Between a Sport Coat & a Blazer?

While both sport coats and blazers are considered types of jackets, there are key differences between the two. Sport coats originated in the 19th century and were designed to be worn for outdoor activities like hunting. Sport coats are more relaxed, and are typically made from textured and/or patterned material. They can be designed to coordinate with pants and can be layered with other clothing like polo shirts, dress shirts, t-shirts, and sweaters. Blazers are more structured and formal. They are typically made from wool or cotton and do not usually come with matching pants. They are designed to be used as casual business wear.

Do You Make Custom Women’s Clothing or Suits for Women?

Yes, we can design and construct a wide range of custom women’s clothing, including suits, jackets, trousers, vests, shirts, skirts, and coats. We also create bespoke wedding clothing for men and women.

Can I Have My Suit Tailored With My Own Designs?

Yes, you can have your suit tailored with your own designs. This is one of the many benefits of bespoke tailoring. You can customize every detail of bespoke clothing, including the lapel width, button placement and style, fabric choice, and more.

Can I Schedule an Appointment With You in My Home or Office?

Yes, you can either make an appointment at our shop, or we can come to your home or office during our regular business hours.

What Is Your Process for Designing & Constructing Custom Men’s Clothing?

Because we create one-of-a-kind pieces, our process involves more than picking something off the rack or altering an existing garment. We recommend you schedule multiple appointments to ensure a perfect fit and a garment that truly embodies your style. First, you will meet with our designers for an initial consultation. Then, you will have precise measurements taken, and we will begin creating a custom pattern based on your measurements. Each garment is constructed using hand cutting and hand sewing. You will come back in for a series of fittings to guarantee perfection. When your garment is assembled but not finished, you will come back for a full fitting. Then we will complete the finishing process and hand press your garment and it will be delivered to you, ready to wear.

How Long Does It Take to Have Custom Clothing Made?

The time frame depends on many factors, including the complexity of the design, the number of pieces, the fabric and details requested, and the number of other orders we are fulfilling. In general, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

What Custom-Tailoring Services Do You Offer?

We offer custom-made clothing for men and women, including coats, suits, tuxedos, jackets, sport coats, blazers, overcoats, trousers, dress shirts, vests, skirts, trench coats, and wedding wear.
